Do you want to learn the basics of Czech in one week?

You can enrol in the Introduction to Czech course  held in Welcome Week, where you will also learn about Czech culture and history. The course is free for students from all BUT faculties. You will need to apply for the course in advance via the online form to get a confirmation. The course has 15 teaching hours.

The course is intended for students who will not be studying Czech during the semester.

Do you want to learn Czech during the semester?

1) You can enrol in our semester-long course VYC001 Czech for Foreigners 1. This beginner course is open to international  students at BUT without any prior knowledge of Czech. Please note that students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication should take their Czech course at their respective faculty.

2)  Students who are studying in Czech and whose native language is neither Czech nor Slovak can enrol in VYC002: Czech for Foreigners 2 to improve their vocabulary, grammar, writing, and pronunciation skills. The required entry level of Czech for this course is B2.
